Christmas Late Night Shopping- Thursday 3rd December 2015
Once again the Lewes Late Night Shopping event went exactly to plan, a great night for all residents and visitors alike. There was so much to do on the night, we had stalls and attractions right the way from the end of Cliffe High Street up to the end of the upper High Street.
The event for the past three years has been kindly organised by Adam Bagnall of Harveys Brewery, he is the Chair of the Committee within the Lewes Chamber of Commerce who organises the event. A big thank you to Adam for all the hard work that goes into organising this event.
This year Adam organised a Town Trail that took participants through the town to different shops and organisations, and once the trail was completed they entered their form into the competition.

Some 200 shops and organisations opened their doors until 8.30pm or 9pm, and welcomed people in, often offering mulled wine and mince pies.
The good cause for the event this year was the Bevern Trust, a fantastic charity that helps people with profound disabilities. We looks set to raise an impressive amount of money for them, we will of course report the final figure very soon.
The event itself has been organised by the Lewes Chamber of Commerce for over 30 years, and is always on the first Thursday in December. So it does have the effect now of kicking of the Christmas festivities for many of those who attend.
